On May 18th, in Hanxing Street, Jianghan District, the charity fund of "Old Neighborhood One Family Meeting" in Jianghan Li Community was formally established, and it took only half a day to raise more than 7,100 yuan of love donations. It is understood that the "Old Neighborhood Yijiahui" charity fund is jointly established by Jianghan Li Community, Wuhan Charity Federation and Hanxing Street Social Work Station. It aims to explore and practice community charity funds to help the project operation of community services and gather charitable resources to solve the problems of community residents and community development, so as to improve people’s livelihood and promote grassroots governance.

At the fund launching ceremony, Ren Lianfang explained the purpose, significance, fund composition, scope of use and guidance and supervision methods of the charity fund for residents. Ren Lianfang said that the fund will focus on neighborhood communication and neighborhood mutual assistance activities shared by residents, such as helping the needy, helping the elderly, and micro-renovation of the community.
In the use and supervision of the fund, the community will promptly publicize the fund’s income and expenditure through the WeChat group and the party affairs public column, and accept the joint supervision of community residents.
On that day, about 60 residents came to the community or donated money through online channels. 5 yuan, 10 yuan, 20 yuan … and even a resident who did not want to be named donated 5,000 yuan in cash at one time. In just half a day, the charity fund raised a total of 7147.1 yuan of love money online and offline.
Jianghan Li Community will use the fund to continue to expand the charity power of the community, integrate more and better charity resources into the community, inject people’s livelihood, maximize the utilization efficiency and benefit of charity resources, and help the community to build a friendly community of all ages.
