  The first series of souvenir covers of "Important Scientific and Technological Inventions in Ancient China" was issued in Beijing on May 31st. This series of souvenir covers aims to show China’s ancient scientific and technological achievements from different angles, embody China’s long history, culture and scientific and technological civilization, spread scientific ideas and carry forward scientific spirit.

  According to reports, the series of souvenir covers of "Important Scientific and Technological Inventions in Ancient China" was issued by China Philatelic Co., Ltd. Based on 88 designs of "Important Scientific and Technological Inventions in Ancient China" selected by the Institute of Natural Science History of Chinese Academy of Sciences, it is planned to issue 88 pieces, which will be completed in 10 series, with 8 to 9 pieces in each series.

  The first album, with 9 pieces, was produced by the Bureau of Science Communication of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Science and Technology Communication Center of China Association for Science and Technology.

  "The Chinese nation has created a splendid ancient civilization and made many outstanding scientific and technological inventions and creations, which shine in the long river of human civilization." Zhou Dejin, director of the Science Communication Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the issuance of this series of souvenir covers will help stamp collectors and science and technology enthusiasts enrich their knowledge, enhance their scientific and cultural literacy, and enhance their cultural confidence and national confidence.
